In the mid-20th century, Colonel Harland Sanders developed his famous recipe and franchising approach, which helped KFC expand rapidly. Later, after decades of experience in the KFC business, Acky Khan and Subash Thamboo formed Gastronomy Foods and began growing the franchise from an initial group of restaurants in Wales into a wider UK footprint.
